On the path towards the 4th International Conference for Financing for Development
The 2024 ECOSOC Financing for Development Forum to take place on April 22-25 assumes added importance, as it is to inform the 4th International Conference for Financing for Development to be held in 2025.
The Conference is expected to commit to concrete deliverables on financing for sustainable development, as well as to update the policy framework on financing for sustainable development to reflect the current global realities. The 2024 Forum will inform the priorities of FfD IV becoming a launchpad for the Conference preparatory process. The Forum will enable exchanges of diverse perspectives on financing issues and will continue the discussions held at the Spring meetings of the World Bank and the IMF by convening a special high-level meeting with Bretton Woods Institutions, WTO and UNCTAD. It will also offer space for ministers to interact with representatives of the private sector.
